BALI IN TROUBLE

Dear Friends….well …it doesn’t get any easier for the wonderful people of Bali.
As our GFM money comes to an end…we are reaching out to those of you who are able to assist by donating any small amount to help support our Juraganvillas family.
For the past six months you have made it possible for us to also give our staff and their families some extra support in the form of “food packages” – as well as Rp600,000 (around $60) per month …..We still have all staff employed on small retainer wages…and are trying to keep our villas at our “high standard” – so when the borders do open, we will still have beautiful villas where you can come and spend your holiday!
With no end in sight, at this stage, it is a terrible situation for Bali ….so whatever we can all do to help is more than greatly appreciated. They do not like to ask for help….but there is no other option. I asked one of our staff if he knows of anyone who has died of Covid and his answer was “dying of Covid or dying of starvation…how would you know?”.
Please help – any small amount is greatly appreciated.
IT’S NEVER BEEN THIS HARD!
If we think we are “doing it tough” in Australia with COVID 19, take a moment to look at what is happening in Bali. These proud people, who have been trying to manage on their own (with no government assistance) have reached “breaking point”! It has NEVER been this hard…not even after the two bombings. Most have become Vegans…and have to think twice before they can buy food. Bali’s lifeline, hospitality, is totally dead…with no end in sight. Lucky are those who have not lost their jobs and are on a retainer wage (most have lost their jobs) – but this is hardly enough to support themselves, let alone their families back in the villages (which is how it works in Bali)!
Any small amount you can spare to contribute to helping these wonderful people, will be put together and extended to our staff and their families.
They have made a small video to show what their people are doing, just to be able to feed themselves…
