GoFundMe Artist Statement:
"Since 1991, I have shared my life as a multi-media artist who also deals with the beautiful challenges of mental health illness, recovery from abuse and addiction, as well as how to remain creative in the face of these and economic challenges. I also celebrate the joy of living as a spiritual and sexual being "“ all through the arts. I am very grateful for my patronesses and patrons over the years, and for the way technology has grown to so support the arts. More artists are receiving funding now than ever before, and much more than the conventional granting sources of the past.
When I asked you, my fans, supporters, readers, audience, friends, lovers, family, and strangers who dig what I do, to help me when my partner died and I needed to move suddenly, you came running to help, and I thanked you. When I announced a Megabus Tour and set off for the first stop of Michigan, you were there. When I announced my plans to produce the next Black Women's Arts Festival in the SanFrancisco/Bay Area of California USA, you cheered your support!
As I now continue the task of preparing to leave the east coast, I ask for your patience and attention to my news and progress.
Any donations coming in at this time will assist me in creating saleable product that will create income for me to raise needed funds to not only move out of the Philadelphia area, but attain gainful employment or other funds to sustain myself in the city where the next BWAF will be produced.
I really appreciate your ongoing donations, care packages, postal letters, emails, well-wishes, positive visualizations, and prayers.
Thank you for your continued support of my art/work, and therefore, life."
