Welcome To The Eigth Annual Tomche Shabbos Chanukah Toy Drive!

We have, again, set up this campaign to help provide toys for Jewish children who are living in financially challenging conditions.

You can contribute funds through this campaign and we will use these funds to purchase gift cards at a local toy store in Boropark.

The gift cards will be given out along with the packages of food that the families receive.

This way the parents can take their kids to the toy store, and select their own toys.

In addition to the joy of being able to receive toys for Chanukah, the kids of the families who receive assistance will also be able to experience the excitement of shopping at a toy store.

Over the last seven years we have

run Chanukah toy drives that

generated thousands of toys for

Jewish children from families who are

going through difficult circumstances.

These Jewish children are the kids

of families that receive assistance

from Tomche Shabbos.

Tomche Shabbos is an all volunteer

organization that distributes packages

of Kosher food to Jewish families that are going through difficult financial times.

My logic in organizing this toy drive

is as follows:

If a family cannot afford

food, then they certainly can't afford to

buy toys for their kids.

To make Chanukah fun for kids,

Jewish families developed a tradition to give out presents to their children.

Imagine how kids from poor families must feel during the Chanukah holiday.

All of their friends are getting presents while they sit in their room with some old passed down broken toys.

I would like to make Chanukah a joyful holiday for the children of families that are suffering financially.

Children from poor families should have the opportunity to enjoy the Chanukah holiday just like children from other families.

I would like to call upon your good heart to help us in providing toys to every single family on the Tomche Shabbos list.

You can also drop off toys yourself, or order the toys online and have them shipped to Tomche Shabbos.

Tomche Shabbos is open on

Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
