Jordan's Bash for Hope

Donation protected
On February 7th, 2023, Jordan Gardiner, a local paramedic, passed away after a courageous, and lengthy 3.5 year fight against Colon Cancer. He was only 31 years old.

Jordan knew he wanted to make a difference and create awareness, in the endeavour to help others recognize that cancer doesn't age-discriminate. He decided to start his event, 'Jordan's Bash For Hope', to share his message and to raise money to support those in the fight. In its first year, this beach volleyball and music festival was a much greater success than he could ever have imagined. With over 30,000 dollars raised for Colon Cancer Canada, and for local families, he was very proud of its success.

Before Jordan passed away, he had his wife, Paige Shemilt, and his friend, Sam Harvey, promise that 'Jordan's Bash', would continue to be a guidepost of hope, even after he had gone. Paige, Sam, Jordan's family and friends, will all continue to keep his dream alive.

Throughout Jordan's battle, he received such tremendous community support, and this inspired his continued fight. Jordan was adamant that funds raised this year be kept local to uplift the community, and those that may need support in their fight against cancer. He wanted to make a positive difference in this world and inspire hope. Although Jordan is gone, his legacy will live on.
