Fund training to teach yoga for cancer

Hi, I'm Jenni, a yoga teacher and teacher trainer supporting people living with cancer.

I will be climbing Mt Snowden on 30th September to raise money for this training fund.

For most people, the physical, mental and emotional impact of cancer is huge, and patients need extra support on top of medical treatment. Yoga is recognised as a beneficial additional therapy to help patients recover from surgery, cope with treatment and return to their lives.

However, with increasing rates of cancer diagnosis, we have a shortage of yoga teachers suitably trained to offer specialist classes. In addition, many yoga teachers have been severely affected by the pandemic and are facing financial difficulties.

We have set up a fund to offer free or subsidised training to yoga teachers in need who want to offer specialist classes for people with cancer. Each trained teacher can reach hundreds of people with cancer.
