SAVE THE COVINGTON CASTLE!
Castles? Everyone loves castles! Not the drafty, dark, scary kind; this custom built, amazingly gorgeous castle!
Sometimes things in life don’t work out the way you hoped and you stand to lose everything. Who am I fundraising for? Our friend, Chanse Mortenson. Who is Chanse? He is a single father looking to save his home for his young son. Chanse is an adventurous, hardworking, fun loving man who is a home builder turned castle builder, turned philanthropist. If he can save the castle, he’s going to raffle it off for charity where all (100%) of the proceeds will go to charity. But right now, he needs a little help from all of us.
Chanse moved to Covington to raise his son out of the hustle of the big city. He’s been in construction for 30+ years and always wanted to build a castle. It took 5+ years and a broken neck! Literally, while installing a tree trunk as a headboard in the master bedroom. He’s been through 3 surgeries over 2-1/2 years and he’s still healing. His marriage, unfortunately, suffered and fell apart. But the castle was finally finished.
To make ends meet, in 2020, the castle was put on Airbnb. This beautiful place can be found on Hwy 437 (Lee Road) in Covington, Louisiana. But now with this COVID-19 outbreak, that income has dried up. He needs our help to save his home. Please contribute what you can. Thank you for your consideration.
